ITEMS enterprise management/cyber security services RFP to be released soon, says NGA
On September 16, the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency released the following notification about the Information Technology Enterprise Management Services (ITEMS): Enterprise Management /Cyber Security Services (EM/CSS) solicitation (HM0476-16-R-0003). The RFP’s release is scheduled on or about October 2.
The Office of Contract Services – IT Infrastructure & Data Storage Division (OCSI) intends to competitively award a contract under the Information Technology Enterprise Management Services (ITEMS) Program for Enterprise Management /Cyber Security Services (EM/CSS) located at various NGA facilities. The solicitation is for full and open competition. NAICS Code: 541513.
This requirement encompasses: 1) an Enterprise Service Desk (ESD), providing self-service and operator-assisted IT support across NGA; 2) a Command and Control Operations Management function serving as the central point for Information Technology Infrastructure (ITI) and Production Systems situational awareness on all domains; 3) a Cyber Security Operations Cell (CSOC) serving as the central point for security incident detection, cyber intelligence collection and analysis, response, investigation, and reporting through the use of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention system, malware detection, forensics, auditing, and other capabilities and 4) the development and collection of business intelligence information to support enterprise management process and product improvement. Estimated start date is on or about 13 May 16.
