Intelligent Decisions acquires Manning Services Inc.
Intelligent Decisions Inc., based in Ashburn, VA, announced on October 17 that it has acquired Manning Services Incorporated, a business based in Dumfries, Virginia specializing in custom application development and cloud migration services.
“We’re delighted to welcome MSI to our team. They will play an integral role in supporting our strategic initiative to expand our highly valued capabilities and grow our long-term value to customers across the federal government sector,” said Greg Walker, executive vice president of professional services for Intelligent Decisions. “Our short-term priority will be to strengthen MSI’s long relationship with U.S. Marshals by ensuring the successful fielding of their next-generation IT infrastructure and migration of their mission applications. Over the longer term, we will be well-positioned to expand our footprint in the Intelligence Community with enhanced application development capabilities gained through MSI’s subject matter experts who are especially adept in this field.”
ID is entering a new phase of its development, focused on enhancing and expanding the company’s capabilities serving the federal government in cyber security, advanced analytics and cloud migration. By acquiring companies with these capabilities, ID aims to be a market leader in creating enduring value at the nexus of people, technology and intelligence.
Aligned with this strategy, the acquisition of MSI adds significantly to ID’s proposition with capabilities that are in high demand across the federal customer base. This applies particularly to enterprise application development and sustainment, enterprise Amazon Web Services architecture, and application migration support. The MSI team, which will become part of ID’s professional services division, strengthens the company’s base of highly skilled talent, particularly in advanced virtual desktop infrastructure and networking capabilities. This expanded offering opens opportunities with new customers and the potential to enhance and strengthen trusted, long-term customer relationships.
“MSI has a strong and proven ethic of innovation and agility, combined with a deep commitment to its customers, which is amply demonstrated by the duration of its client relationships,” said Nathan Rickman, vice president of civilian and VA intelligence for Intelligent Decisions. “The MSI team shares our approach of placing the customer front and center in all that we do. That makes them a perfect cultural fit for ID, and we greatly look forward to working with them.”
