IARPA to host TEI-REX Proposers’ Day
On September 10, the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA) announced a Proposers’ Day for the Targeted Evaluation of Ionizing Radiation Exposure (TEI-REX) program. Registration is required and closes at 5:00 p.m. Eastern on September 24.
IARPA will hold a virtual Proposers’ Day meeting on September 29, 2021 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm EDT with potential overflow into September 30, 2021 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The TEI-REX Proposers’ Day meeting will be used to introduce the research requirements to potential performers and provide information on program objectives. The TEI-REX Program aims to establish novel biodosimetry approaches enabling improved quantification of low-dose ionizing radiation exposures (<0.75 Gray) from minimally and non-invasive samples, while also expanding quantitative and qualitative knowledge of the exposure environment.
IARPA holds Proposers’ Days to provide information to assist potential proposers to evaluate whether and how they might respond to the Government’s research and development solicitations and to increase efficiency in proposal preparation and evaluation. The TEI-REX Proposers’ Day is open only to registered potential proposers, and not to the media or the general public.
The meeting will be held entirely on the WebEx video conference platform, and a recorded video of the meeting will be made available to the public on the IARPA website at https://www.iarpa.gov/index.php/research-programs/tei-rex.
This announcement serves as a notice of intent to fund scientific research and is issued solely for information and planning purposes. The Proposers’ Day meeting does not constitute a formal solicitation for proposals. Meeting attendance is voluntary and is not required to propose to this, or any other solicitations (if any) associated with the TEI-REX program. IARPA will not provide reimbursement for any costs incurred to participate in this Proposers’ Day.
Two opportunities to facilitate teaming are available to registrants for the TEI-REX Proposers’ Day. IARPA highly encourages potential proposers to establish strong teams capable of addressing the technical challenges TEI-REX aims to overcome. The information submitted in either format will not be reviewed or considered by the government for any purpose other than review for appropriate content.
IARPA will make available the opportunity for appropriate registrants to present 5-minute lightning talks. These lightning talks should be seen as a mechanism to highlight technical capabilities of the presenter aligning with TEI-REX objectives. No live questions or overruns of the 5-minute presentation period will be permitted.
As an option to facilitate teaming, potential proposers may submit a Capabilities Statement (5 pages maximum) and a completed Teaming Information Form (posted with this notice) to IARPA for possible posting on our website at https://www.iarpa.gov/index.php/research-programs/tei-rex. Deadline for these submissions is September 24, 2021 at 5:00pm EDT. This information will not be reviewed or considered by the government for any purpose other than review for appropriate content.
