Engility wins contract to support Department of Defense
Engility Holdings, Inc. of Chantilly, VA announced on June 21 that it won a $16.2 million contract to support the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, Systems Engineering, in its mission to help standardize and improve DOD’s systems engineering capabilities.
“This is an important program for our nation,” said Lynn Dugle, CEO of Engility. “Strong systems engineering practices in technical risk management, software engineering, quality, manufacturing and production enable the DOD to achieve its mission-critical objectives. We look forward to bringing our strong subject matter expertise and past performance to help DASD(SE) build the systems engineering capability of the future.”
Engility will support DASD(SE) in managing all DOD programs related to systems engineering, helping to keep major systems on schedule and on budget. DASD(SE) is the center of excellence for all policy, practice and procedural matters related to DOD systems engineering capabilities, providing guidance and policy to other DOD components in the execution of their general and specialty engineering functions.
This Q2 2017 contract win represents new work with DASD(SE), an office within the DOD that Engility has supported for more than a decade. The cost plus fixed-fee contract has a one-year base with four option years.
