DECISIVE ANALYTICS Corporation wins Air Force contract for real-time target and typing manifold algorithm development
DECISIVE ANALYTICS Corporation (DAC) of Arlington, VA announced on January 3 that it was awarded a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase III contract for Real Time Target Detection and Typing (RTDT) Manifold Algorithm Development on September 7, 2016. The work under this contract provides machine learning expertise for automatic target recognition for the Air Force’s Space and Missile Center’s Remote Sensing (SMC/RS) Systems Directorate.
The Exploitation Capabilities Division of SMC/RS is supporting the development and deployment of capabilities in the new Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) Battlespace Awareness Center (OBAC) which is designed to deliver real-time OPIR Battlespace Awareness capabilities to warfighters. With this award, DAC will integrate its algorithms into the Tools, Applications, and Processing (TAP) lab’s open framework architecture to provide real-time target detection and typing. This effort is the trailblazer initiating the process of real-time battlespace awareness and OBAC deployment.
“The TAP lab creates a unique opportunity for algorithmic innovation and test on real and archived sensor data,” said Richard Adleson, vice president of intelligent systems at DECISIVE ANALYTICS. “Most importantly, the algorithms that prove successful have a rapid transition path directly to the OBAC where they are used by the 460th Space Wing for daily battlespace awareness operations.”
