Day & Zimmermann stands up National Intelligence Division

On September 17, Day & Zimmermann (D&Z) announced the launch of the National Intelligence Division (NID), bringing a full suite of intelligence acumen to mitigate complex and dynamic threats with agility and accuracy. For decades, Day & Zimmermann has partnered with the Intelligence Community (IC), providing critical support to the U.S. National Intelligence Mission, protecting U.S. government personnel, property, and assets. The creation of NID showcases D&Z’s continued commitment to service, enabling intelligence partners and security organizations to respond swiftly to the transformative, fast-paced security environment. NID utilizes real-time threat assessment, advanced data analytics, secure infrastructure design, integrated security, and technology to protect the homeland.
NID’s strategic foresight helps execute forward-thinking in protective operations; architecture, engineering, and design; cleared staffing; technical, operational management; and advanced engineering consulting services.
Led by former CIA Senior Intelligence Officer Shawn Roslin, vice president of national intelligence division and international programs; Rachel Toner, senior director of mission solutions for intelligence; and Dr. Heather Zurburg, principal analyst, the NID team’s forward-looking vision and experience will help strengthen the U.S. national security mission. According to the company:
- Roslin’s 30-year career within the Intelligence Community and strategic foresight helps execute forward-thinking with unique expertise and skillsets in protective operations, risk mitigation and analysis, threat management, anti-terrorist force protection, critical and high threat theater operations, counterintelligence, and special investigations.
- Toner’s extensive commercial knowledge of the Intelligence Community has turned insights into actions, driving strategic efforts across the enterprise in architecture, engineering, and design; cleared staffing; technical, operational management; and advanced engineering consulting services.
- Zurburg adds more than a decade of experience in investigations, all-source analysis, tactical targeting, and strategic assessments across the Intelligence Community, law enforcement, and the Department of Defense, complemented by her service as a strategist and policy advisor within the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
“With decades of experience partnering with the Intelligence Community, we are proud to build on that legacy with a continued focus on the future of the Mission,” said Doug Magee, president of Day & Zimmermann Government Services. “As threats evolve, so too does our commitment to helping the U.S. government stay ahead — anticipating tomorrow’s challenges.”
