Constellation West promotes Tom Medara to Vice President of Business Development
Constellation West, a Fairfax, VA-based provider of mission-critical technology solutions for the U.S. government and one of the fastest-growing service-disabled veteran-owned, women-owned, small disadvantaged businesses in the country, announced on February 3 that it has promoted Tom Medara to vice president of business development. One of his primary responsibilities will be management and supervision of the company’s work under the U.S. Strategic Command Systems and Missions Support (USAMS) III contract, a recently awarded five-year IDIQ that has a ceiling of $800 million.
“We are excited to announce Tom’s promotion to vice president of business development and look forward to his continued leadership in new business and as our primary lead in supporting our work on USAMS III,” said Lisa Wolford, president and CEO of Constellation West. “As a retired Air Force officer, Tom has extensive experience within the defense industry, including leadership of mission-critical programs, proposal and contract development, and intelligence support, production and analysis. He consistently does whatever it takes to ensure customer and team success.”
After serving for over 20 years in the U.S. Air Force as an intelligence officer, Medara has held a variety of positions within the federal contracting and defense industry, including as a program manager at General Dynamics, intelligence branch chief at the U.S. Strategic Command, program manager at QinetiQ North America, and project manager and analyst at SPADAC. Medara graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science in international affairs and holds a Master of Arts in national security affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School.
Constellation West also recently announced the promotion of Kim Williams to Vice President of Operations for the Capital Region.
“At Constellation West, we take our brand promise of ‘Where extraordinary works’ seriously, and these two individuals are great examples of us delivering on that commitment,” added Wolford. “Providing outstanding results for our customers is our number one priority, and I trust in all of our team members to help us accomplish that mission every day.”
