Cherokee Federal acquires Preting Consulting

Cherokee Federal, a division of Cherokee Nation Businesses (CNB) based in Tulsa, OK, announced on November 29 it has acquired Preting Consulting as part of its ongoing diversification and growth strategy.

Based in Alexandria, VA, Preting is a highly respected leader in the intelligence community with robust, forward-focused solutions utilized within the U.S. government to armed forces, law enforcement and intelligence agencies including the Department of State, Department of Defense, Department of the Army and Department of the Air Force.

Preting provides tailored support across a myriad of unique operations, analysis, and training topics to successfully detect, identify and disrupt terrorist operations, insider threats, and others targeting vital U.S. interests. Its team of operations and analytical experts has the knowledge, experience, and capability in intelligence support services to successfully enhance a customer’s security initiatives.

Preting’s team boasts 150 employees, 90 percent of which are veterans. Ninety-five percent of team members hold TS/SCI clearance and directly support operations in areas such as multi-intelligence analysis, low-intensity conflict, homeland defense, force protection, counter-terrorism, show-of-force, special operations and overseas contingency operations.
