On August 6, Chainguard announced that it listed Chainguard Containers in the AWS Marketplace for the U.S. Intelligence Community (ICMP). ICMP is a curated digital catalog from Amazon Web Services (AWS) that makes it easy to discover, purchase, and deploy software packages and applications from vendors that specialize in supporting government customers.
Chainguard Containers are trusted container images with zero-CVEs, broad customization capabilities, and a reduced attack surface to improve supply chain integrity for containerized applications. Chainguard Containers are built entirely from source within Chainguard’s hardened infrastructure and powered by Chainguard’s bootstrapped Linux distro Chainguard OS. Chainguard’s curated catalog of over 1,500 container images include transparent provenance and continuous daily updates to eliminate vulnerabilities, backed by an industry-leading CVE SLA. Chainguard Containers helps organizations dramatically reduce time spent on vulnerability management while increasing developer productivity – enabling engineering teams to focus on building and delivering secure, high-impact software.
“At Chainguard, we’re focused on eliminating software supply chain threats before they enter production,” said Ken Melero, RVP of public sector, Chainguard. “By offering Chainguard Containers on the AWS ICMP, we can empower even more federal customers to adopt trusted open source software built entirely from source, maintained with zero known vulnerabilities, and backed by clear provenance. With Chainguard, government organizations can build with confidence from the start, ultimately protecting the critical systems and services citizens rely on every day.”
