CECOM posts Agile RFI ahead of Software Solarium
On April 26, the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Software Engineering Center (SEC) posted a request for information about Agile frameworks and processes. Responses are due by 4:00 p.m. Eastern on May 4.
This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. Do not submit a proposal or quote. After reviewing the information below, vendors are invited to provide responses to the request below. This RFI is for informational purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to procure any items/services, or for the Government to pay for the information received.
CECOM will host Software Solarium 3 on 22-23 May 2018 at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. Software Solarium 3 will provide a venue for discussion and development of action plans to address the challenges associated with the growth and capabilities of software in the Army’s portfolio.
The purpose of this RFI is to help U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Software Engineering Center (SEC) learn about industry best practices and suggestions for implementing Agile development frameworks on software intensive tactical systems as well as across multiple geographically-dispersed Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, in order to increase software quality and provide continuous delivery of capability. What are best practices for implementing Agile techniques in the development of tactical/C2/intelligence software, and for a portfolio of ERP systems that share the same technical foundation?
Input should be provided via electronic mail no later than 4:00PM eastern daylight time, 4 May 2018. Responses should be no more than 10 pages, and should be submitted electronically as one complete document to include if the vendor would be willing to present and further discuss during the upcoming Software Solarium. Presentations will be limited and by invitation only. Invitations will be sent NLT 9 May 2018. Favorable replies must submit a copy of their slide presentation NLT 16 May 18.
