Brocade appoints new vice president of federal sales
San Jose, CA-based Brocade announced on August 11 the appointment of Phil O’Reilly as vice president of federal sales. O’Reilly will lead the Brocade sales and partner ecosystem that supports the U.S. Department of Defense, civilian agencies and intelligence community, effective immediately. He will report to Jeff Lindholm, senior vice president of worldwide sales, Brocade.
“Just like the private sector, federal agencies are going through digital transformation to deliver world-class services for government. However, they need a New IP architecture that enables the network to become a platform for innovation and for developing, delivering and securing new applications,” said Lindholm. “We’re excited to have Phil lead our federal sales organization to help our customers on their path to network modernization.”
O’Reilly has over 30 years of experience in executive leadership roles at Fortune 1000 technology and manufacturing companies. He joined Brocade in August 2010 where he has held multiple leadership roles, most recently as chief technology officer for Americas and Federal Sales. Prior to Brocade, O’Reilly was senior vice president of Americas Sales at Juniper Networks, which included the U.S. Federal division. He also spent time as chief executive officer of Solunet, Inc., a top-ten value-added infrastructure solutions provider that had broad public sector presence in the U.S., Latin America and Canada. O’Reilly holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Joseph’s College, a Juris Doctor degree from Western New England College School of Law and a Master of Business Administration from Penn State University.
