On September 8, Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) announced that Senior Vice President Bob Ritchie has been appointed to lead the company’s business development organization as its chief growth officer (CGO). The expanded role brings together two critical functions under his leadership to strengthen SAIC’s position as a premier mission integrator. Ritchie will report to Tim Turitto, executive vice president of enterprise operations and Chief of Staff to the CEO.
“Bob’s appointment reflects our forward-looking vision at SAIC, where deep technical expertise and mission-focused business development are unified to deliver unmatched outcomes for our customers,” said Turitto. “By combining these functions, we are accelerating innovation and ensuring our solutions anticipate and align with the nation’s most pressing priorities.”
Ritchie, a 20-year SAIC veteran, began his career as a software engineering intern and has advanced through roles of increasing responsibility across the company. He has earned a reputation as a visionary leader with a proven ability to overcome challenges and guide teams to success.
As CTO since 2022, Ritchie established a technology organization that, in collaboration with SAIC’s five business groups and the Chief Innovation Office (CINO), has advanced the company’s enterprise growth strategy and contributed to numerous key contract awards. He has been instrumental in strengthening SAIC’s leadership in secure multi-cloud solutions, helping secure major wins including the Air Force Cloud One program, the Air Force’s Cloud-Based Command and Control (CBC2) program, and the Treasury Department’s TCloud contract.
In his new expanded role, Ritchie will enhance collaboration between SAIC’s innovation, technology, and business development teams. This unified approach will enable the company to deliver agile, integrated solutions across mission critical areas such as artificial intelligence, cyber, space, autonomy, and C5ISR.
“Bringing together technology vision and business development creates powerful opportunities for our customers and our teams,” said Ritchie. “This synergy will balance the standardization of mission IT, enterprise IT, and engineering solutions across the enterprise with the creativity, mission intimacy, and discipline required to deliver mission outcomes for our customers.”
