Attivio’s latest release empowers non-data scientists
Attivio, Inc., the software company changing the speed and time-to-value of Big Data deployments, released on Sept. 24 enhancements to its Active Intelligence Engine (AIE) aimed at helping business users, developers and administrators do more with data and human-generated content.
AIE 4.2’s new user interfaces and role-based management enhancements expand upon Attivio’s mission of delivering one platform to drive all business decisions across the enterprise.
AIE 4.2 key features
- AIE Role-Based Management – AIE’s Business Center gives business users and marketers a way to manage content and profiles. With the addition of Role-Based Management in AIE 4.2, AIE Business Center users can assign roles and controls over various profiles. With role-based permissions, businesses can expand the number of AIE business users and ensure only the right users modify profiles and publish changes that affect end users.
- AIE Designer – AIE Designer is a new visual editor that allows developers and administrators to simply and easily manage AIE through a familiar Eclipse-based user interface. Common AIE configuration tasks previously only achievable via command line or in XML source code are now available through AIE Designer.
- AIE Entity Extraction User Interface – AIE Entity Extraction provides insight into content and data to uncover relationships between disparate data sets. With AIE 4.2, Entity Extraction is fully managed and extended through a new admin interface. What was once a multi-step task including editing configuration files, is now handled via this single interface.
“Working with data and extracting immediate value must become easier for the business user,” said Sid Probstein, CTO at Attivio. “Attivio is constantly innovating new ways to help companies think about and approach the usability of their Big Data and Big Content programs. The new enhancements to AIE 4.2 help data-driven companies quickly gain – and give – access to information in a simple, configurable and business-minded format.”
