APG Huachuca Division to hold Industry Day
On January 26, the U.S. Army posted an Industry Day invitation for Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Huachuca Division. Pre-registration is open now through 4:30 p.m. Arizona time, February 9 or until seating capacity is reached, whichever date comes first.
The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Huachuca Division will be hosting an Industry Day on February 27 Feb 2018 – 1 Mar 2018 at Ft. Huachuca, AZ. Areas of focus are: information technology; test and evaluation; military intelligence; cyber security; communications, security, and logistics; engineering and systems integration; and base operations services support. There will be participation by senior leaders representing Huachuca Division’s customers: U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) and its major subordinate units, U.S. Army Intelligence Center of Excellence (USAICOE), U.S. Army Electronic Proving Ground – Ft. Huachuca (EPG), U.S. Army Information Systems Command (USAISEC), U.S. Army Communications, Security, Logistics Activity (CSLA), and Ft. Huachuca Garrison.
The intent is to provide industry with information on program mission drivers; definition of program success, as viewed by the customer and/or the end user; challenges to achieving goals; problems industry can help solve; and higher level technical requirements for current and future operations to allow industry the ability to develop innovative solutions to meet the Government’s needs. The Division Chief for ACC-APG, Huachuca Division, will also be providing information on its structure, various acquisition topics, strategy development, near term and long range opportunities, trends in acquisition, updates to regulatory policies and procedures, and will host a contracting activity meet and greet on the last day of the event. Finally, representatives from the City of Sierra Vista (Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development), local educational institutions of higher learning [Cochise Community College (Small Business Development Center, Procurement Technical Assistance Center), University of Arizona South (Continuing Education)] will be providing information on their programs.
