AFRL to solicit proposals for ADDS program

On March 22, the Air Force Research Laboratory posted a notice of contract action for the Algorithm-Derived Decision Support (ADDS) program (Solicitation Number: FA8650-19-S-6006).

Air Force Research Laboratory, Airman Systems Directorate (AFRL/RH) intends to solicit proposals under this announcement for the “Algorithm-Derived Decision Support (ADDS)” program, to conduct research to develop and demonstrate sensemaking approaches to established Intelligence Community (IC) crisis scenarios to establish the potential for machine-generated analytic products capable of providing timely and relevant assistance to decision makers.

This is a NOCA informing potential offerors of the “Algorithm-Derived Decision Support” acquisition. An open, one step, BAA will be posted on FedBizOpps in April 2019. Air Force Research Laboratory, Airman Systems Directorate (AFRL/RH) has requirements to conduct research to develop and demonstrate sensemaking approaches to established Intelligence Community (IC) crisis scenarios to establish the potential for machine-generated analytic products capable of providing timely and relevant assistance to decision makers.

The objective is to conduct research to develop and demonstrate sensemaking technology-based finished intelligence production capability for use by the Intelligence Community (IC) and the Department of Defense (DoD). This capability will allow the IC and DoD to use algorithm-generated analytical products to accelerate and improve decision making by reducing the time to deliver intelligence at machine-speed and –scale, and advance research that will ultimately lead to the first algorithm-generated President’s Daily Briefs (PDBs).
