AFRL DCD seeks digital and IT CORE support
On April 5, the Air Force Research Laboratories (AFRL) Digital Capabilities Directorate (DCD) posted a request for information (RFI) for Digital/IT Collaboration, Opportunities, Research, and Experimentation (CORE) Support. Responses are due by 4:00 p.m. Eastern on April 19.
The AFRL DCD stood up in February 2023 with a mission to “Measurably accelerate the generation and transition of adoption-ready technology with demonstrable military benefit”. Over-arching goals on behalf of the AFRL include:
- Faster Research: accelerate research, experimentation, and innovation
- Better Decisions: data/informatics, visualization, and support for analytically rigorous technical, business, and operations decisions
- Streamline Transitions: smooth entry for concepts, experiments, and demonstrations, seamless transfer of research products to acquisition/development agencies
- Reduce Toil: flexible and responsive business and operations
- Delivery of Digital and IT solutions
Innovation areas that shape our lines of effort and future investments include:
- Data
- Modeling/Analysis
- Collaborative Tools (worldwide partners and stakeholders)
- Infrastructure (networks, optimized clouds, high-performance computing, quantum)
- Cybersecurity
- Digital Architecture and Services
- Generative and Predictive Artificial Intelligence
In accordance with Part 10 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation, the AFRL DCD Integration and Operations Division (AFRL/IZO) is conducting market research to maintain market awareness as related to the acquisition of advanced information technology (IT) related talent, products, and services.
