AFEI’s DI2E Plugfest demonstrates interoperability, latest technology in Defense Intelligence Information Enterprise
The Association for Enterprise Information (AFEI), an affiliate of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), will hold its 2016 DI2E Plugfest from June 1-2, 2016, AFEI announced May 19. The event, which provides private companies and government agencies the opportunity to demonstrate advancements in innovation, interoperability and reuse, and present solutions for the Defense Intelligence Information Enterprise (DI2E), will take place at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.
The DI2E Plugfest provides an environment of networked, interoperable and reusable components, where vendors are able to deploy and show how their data, tools and products provide flexible, agile and data-driven capabilities to warfighters. The event also includes discussions by Department of Defense officials on current challenges, future needs, the Intelligence Investment Fund (I2F) and the DI2E Storefront.
This year’s DI2E Mashup Challenge will once again demonstrate interoperability and re-use in a realistic scenario. Teams include:

• DCGS-SOF“The DI2E Plugfest provides visibility to companies that can bring emerging capabilities to the defense intelligence community,” said Dave Chesebrough, president of AFEI. “We have a great lineup of key decision-makers and technology demonstrations that will help to ensure defense intelligence information can flow seamlessly across enterprise boundaries.”
