On
February 11, the Acting Director of National Intelligence (A/DNI) disclosed the
aggregate amount of $61.9 billion in requested appropriations for the Fiscal
Year 2021 National Intelligence Program (NIP).
The A/DNI discloses this amount consistent with section 601 of
the Implementing the Recommendations of the 9/11 Commission Act of 2007 (P.L.
110-53), as amended (50 U.S.C. 3306).
Any and all subsidiary information concerning the NIP budget,
whether the information concerns particular intelligence agencies or particular
intelligence programs, will not be disclosed. Beyond the disclosure of the NIP
topline figure, there will be no other disclosures of currently classified NIP
budget information because such disclosures could harm national security.
The only exceptions to the foregoing are for unclassified appropriations, such as for the Intelligence Community Management Account.
