DOE issues pre-solicitation notice for counterintelligence support services
On July 10, the Department of Energy Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence posted a pre-solicitation notice for counterintelligence support services (solicitation numbers : DE-SOL-0006297 and DE-SOL-0007149).
Purpose: The purpose of this synopsis is to provide a notice to the public of information applicable the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence (IN) counterintelligence support services acquisition.
Authority: DOE Office of Headquarter Procurement Services is issuing this synopsis in accordance with FAR Part 5.204 Pre-solicitation Notices.
Description: IN requires services in technical capability (including but not limited to the requisite facility clearance and qualified personnel holding security clearances) and experience to provide classified counterintelligence support services.
Place of Performance: Work will be performed at DOE Headquarters facilities in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area. Limited support will be required at DOE/National Nuclear Security Administration sites in Albuquerque, New Mexico; Savannah River, South Carolina; and Denver, Colorado.
Competitive Acquisition: This will be a competitive acquisition set-aside for small business participation.
Contract Type: Time-and-Materials
Period of Performance: This acquisition contains a base year with 4 one-year option periods for a total contract period of performance of 5 years.
Release Date of the Solicitation: It is anticipated for Solicitation Number DE-SOL-0006297 to be released during the fourth quarter of calendar year 2015. Should complications arise resulting in a delay in the release of the solicitation; the Contracting Officer will provide an update through FedConnect at https://www.fedconnect.net/Fedconnect/ and/or the FedBizOpps website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov.
