House of Representatives approves Intelligence Authorization Act
House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes issued the following statement on June 16 after the House of Representatives approved the Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016 (H.R. 2596):
“I thank Intelligence Committee members for their work developing this legislation, which provides the Intelligence Community with the authorization and resources it needs to protect American citizens from terror groups and from an array of other foreign threats. This bill ensures our intelligence professionals have what they need to keep us and our allies safe. I look forward to working with my Senate colleagues to move this legislation forward.”
