Leidos awarded prime contract by US Navy
Leidos, a Reston, VA-based national security, health, and engineering solutions company, announced May 20 that it was awarded a prime contract by the U.S. Navy to provide scientific, engineering, and technical services in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD). The single-award, cost-plus fixed-fee indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a four-year period of performance and a total contract value of approximately $49 million. Work will be performed primarily in West Bethesda, Md.
NSWCCD is the full-spectrum research and development, test and evaluation, engineering, and Fleet support organization for the Navy’s ships, submarine, military watercraft, and unmanned vehicles. Under the contract, Leidos will provide scientific, engineering, and technical services required for the design, development, fabrication, integration, test, fleet implementation, and maintenance of synthetic signature generation-based training and analysis systems utilizing the All World Environment Simulation (AWESIM) and the Periscope Simulation (PSIM) visual simulation.
