Tim Schmoyer named CTO of Jericho Systems Corporation
Jericho Systems Corporation, Dallas, TX-based pioneer of attribute based access control (ABAC) and content filtering solutions for data security and privacy, announced Tim Schmoyer as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) on March 10.
“I’m excited to be part of Jericho’s continued success and innovative efforts in providing privacy enabled, secure information sharing technologies,” said Mr. Schmoyer.
In his previous role as Jericho’s Vice President of Engineering, Tim led the company in software development life cycle best practices and internal workflows for continuous process improvements. Mr. Schmoyer, who retired from the United States Army in 2011, held key positions at MITRE and the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). He is a Senior Member of the IEEE and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
Currently, Mr. Schmoyer is the principal investigator on Jericho’s multi-year privacy effort for the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Cyber Security Division. Working in tandem with DHS S&T, Mr. Schmoyer’s recent submission to IEEE, Protecting Privacy, Civil Rights and Civil Liberties using Data Labeling and Segmentation, is expected to be published in April 2015. Mr. Schmoyer is also a key member of a team enabling federated and interoperable Single Sign-On (SSO) and ABAC for operational and intelligence mission requirements across Distributed Common Ground System-Army, DCGS Intelligence Information Enterprise (DI2E), and the DCGS Integration Backbone Management Office (DMO).
