What Are the Topics?
Potomac Officers Club has designed the 2026 Intel Summit to reflect the most pressing topics in the intelligence community right now. POC events are specifically targeted at technology and IT contractors — both the engineers making these products and the individuals tasked with selling and creating relationships with government.
This year’s Intel Summit is centered around the following subject matter:
- Agentic AI as offensive and defensive capability
- Cyber threats of agentic AI and post-quantum cryptography
- Artificial intelligence use cases for the IC
- Open-source intelligence, a.k.a. OSINT and its role in the counterespionage of intellectual property
- How Foreign Entities of Concern laws are shaping GovCon
- Counterintelligence and cyber-enabled espionage in the era of China competition and conflict with Iran
- How signals intelligence, or SIGINT, data supports decision-making and operational military needs
- Space domain intelligence operations and counterspace awareness
- The innovative intelligence-collection methods of defense, space, civilian and intelligence agencies alike
Speakers will offer exclusive insights on all of the above topics and many more, relating them to the activities and initiatives at their particular organization and sharing helpful takeaways for event attendees seeking new opportunities in federal acquisition in the intelligence space.
What Is Potomac Officers Club?
Potomac Officers Club is a networking organization with a focus on the U.S. federal government contracting industry and the technologies that power it. The organization was founded in 2002 by Jim Garrettson, one of the most well-connected professionals in Washington.
“We at Potomac Officers Club could not be more excited for the 2026 Intel Summit,” commented Jim Garrettson, CEO and founder of Executive Mosaic and the Potomac Officers Club. “Every year, we look forward to bringing our members informative, usable insights on topics across the GovCon industry. September is when we concentrate on the U.S. intelligence community: the leaders, technologies and complex strategies that are constantly at work behind the scenes of our national security apparatus.”
“For the vast majority of the time, these players stay understandably quiet,” Garrettson noted. “But for one day a year, they come out of the woodwork and share their priority areas with our community. Join us on Sept. 24!”
POC holds monthly summits, each focused on a different key topic within GovCon. Every year begins with the Defense R&D Summit and concludes with the Healthcare Summit, with stops in AI, cybersecurity, the military services and the Department of Homeland Security along the way.
Membership is not required to attend events, but is highly encouraged. Event attendance and membership are permitted to GovCon industry professionals at the vice president or director level and above, as well as government officials. Service providers (lawyers, accountants, recruiters, etc.) will not be present at the 2026 Intel Summit.
