On September 9, General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), a business unit of General Dynamics, launched the first-ever proven set of zero trust solutions that integrate into existing IT systems. These solutions provide the Department of War (DoW) and other government organizations with a faster and more cost‑effective path to implementing zero trust.
The cyber threat landscape facing the DoW and federal agencies is evolving rapidly, with AI fundamentally changing the speed, scale and complexity of emerging threats. To help protect IT systems and operational warfighting environments, the DoW is prioritizing the implementation of proven zero trust solutions that verify every user and device before allowing access to sensitive data, assets and services. Most DoW organizations have already made some investments in zero trust measures, but current industry solutions require removing and replacing existing IT infrastructure to protect systems.
To solve this complex challenge, GDIT has invested in its Everest Zero Trust portfolio to enable DoW and other government organizations to leverage existing technology investments and accelerate delivery of zero trust capabilities.
GDIT’s Everest Zero Trust solutions are the first and only to successfully complete a government “red team” cyber assessment of an upgraded IT system, demonstrating it can withstand sophisticated cyberattacks. The company has deployed these solutions in more than 40 mission environments, including supporting more than one million Department of the Air Force users across 187 bases worldwide and delivering comprehensive cybersecurity services for the Army National Guard.
