Haider Haimus named Edgewater’s national security president

On May 29, Edgewater Federal Solutions, Inc. announced that Haider Haimus has joined the company as national security sector president. In this role, Haimus will lead the strategic direction, operations, and growth of Edgewater’s national security portfolio, supporting mission-critical clients across the law enforcement, homeland security, and intelligence communities. He will focus on expanding Edgewater’s presence, driving innovation, and ensuring delivery excellence across key federal programs.

Haimus joins Edgewater with more than 24 years of experience in federal sales, operations, and strategic growth. Most recently, he served as an executive at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he led business development and client engagement with federal agencies including the Department of State and the Office of Personnel Management. During his time at AWS, he successfully revitalized key accounts, expanded service offerings across cloud, professional services, and AWS Marketplace, and secured multiple high-value contracts.

Prior to AWS, Haimus held senior roles at Accenture Federal Services, where he led business development efforts for the U.S. Department of Justice and U.S. Courts—securing multimillion-dollar awards, including a $1.8B IT services IDIQ and a $100M BPA. He also helped shape strategic programs such as the $118M Data Replication Engineering and Management (DREAM) contract at the Department of State. Haimus has also held

leadership positions at Buchanan & Edwards and Salient CRGT, where he managed teams of over 350 professionals and oversaw revenue portfolios of $70M+ across key government sectors.
