QuantiTech acquires Dynamic Concepts
On September 21, QuantiTech LLC, a portfolio company of Sagewind Capital LLC based in Huntsville, AL, announced that it has acquired Dynamic Concepts, Inc (DCI). DCI is a leading provider of high-end engineering and software services for human space flight, primarily supporting the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (“NASA”) Marshall Space Flight Center, Johnson Space Center and Glenn Research Center, the Department of Defense, and commercial space companies. The financial terms of the transaction were not announced.
Headquartered in Huntsville, AL, DCI specializes in classical and structural dynamics, digital and hardware-in-the-loop simulation, custom software applications, and control systems design and analysis in support of human spaceflight. QuantiTech’s acquisition of DCI provides a complementary set of high-end specialized services and deepens its relationship with NASA. The management team and employees of DCI will continue with the company.
Darryl Wortman, president and CEO of QuantiTech said, “QuantiTech partnered with Sagewind in May because we were searching for a partner that would support our growth as we strive to better support our customers’ critical missions. Only a few months into our partnership, we are thrilled to have closed on our first add-on acquisition. DCI is an excellent add-on for QuantiTech as it provides us with a complementary set of high-end specialized services and bolsters our existing relationship with NASA. DCI personnel are shaping the future of human spaceflight and we look forward to supporting them in combination with QuantiTech.”
“We are excited to join the QuantiTech family and to have found a partner which shares our dedication to its customers and their critical mission,” said Joseph Clayton, president of DCI. “For almost 25 years, our highly skilled and talented personnel have provided engineering and software solutions to our customers unique and technical challenges. We are excited for their new home within the QuantiTech team and look forward to the growth opportunities ahead.”
