NGA seeks support from large or small businesses in five functional areas
The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) has issued a request for information (RFI) to large and small businesses that are capable to support the agency’s enterprise technical services office.
According to a sources sought notice published by NGA on April 28, the agency needs systems engineering and technical assistance in the following five function areas: (1) financial management, (2) information technology, (3) research and development, (4) acquisition, and (5) program and portfolio management.
NGA is trying to determine what mix of large and small businesses — including Section 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUB-Zone) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) — might be appropriate to receive firm fixed price or firm fixed price level of effort indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts. “This potential acquisition may include partial small business set-asides and award will be made on a competitive basis,” says the NGA’s notice.
“The contractor shall provide program management (under the functional area) responsible for the planning, organization, and control of resources to successfully deliver all requested services, complete all tasks, and meet all the objectives of the Statement of Work (SOW),” says the notice released by NGA. “This includes risk management and mitigation; cost control management and reporting; contractor resource scheduling; close coordination with the Contracting Officer Representative (COR); and for the performance and conduct of any subcontractor or consultant personnel.”
Responses from interested parties are requested by May 28.
