MacB’s Enlighten IT Consulting awarded USCYBERCOM prime contract
MacAulay-Brown, Inc. of Dayton, OH announced on April 16 that Enlighten IT Consulting (EITC), a MacB company, has been awarded a prime contract for U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM). Enlighten will provide the sustainment of Big Data Platform (BDP) capabilities and engineering services for the Cyber National Mission Force (CNMF). USCYBERCOM is a sub-unified combatant command under U.S. Strategic Command. Enlighten’s efforts under this contract will include prototyping of the Cyber Unified Platform to help deliver these innovations to Department of Defense warfighters.
EITC cybersecurity experts, data scientists, and cloud software engineers will focus on delivering mission-critical capabilities by adapting and enhancing the existing BDP deployed to the commercial cloud environment. Tasks will include the processing and storing of packet capture (PCAP), development of cyber analytics to identify suspicious and anomalous activity, big data cyber hunting, data acquisition and enhancement of the BDP tool suite. Additionally, EITC technical experts will conduct user testing activities with cyber protection and network defense teams, as well as the broader cyber community of Unified Platform stakeholders.
“Our objective is to deliver innovative proof-of-concept prototypes that help improve or create desired mission outcomes, and also reduce time to market for the effective solutions,” said Shawn Justice, senior vice president and general manager of MacB’s EITC. “We want to continue establishing ourselves as thought leaders and industry innovators with regard to big data analytics, machine learning, and overall coordination with mission partners within the Cyber Command community.”
