Salient CRGT bolsters intelligence leadership with executive promotion
Salient CRGT, Inc. of Fairfax, VA announced on December 7 the promotion of Tom Howe from division director to vice president of homeland security and law enforcement solutions. He will be responsible for leading the company’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) business portfolio.
Since joining Salient CRGT as a division director in 2006, Howe has successfully managed, captured and recaptured the FBI SIOC, BorderNET, and BorderRITE contracts, leading to growth each time. He has led the company’s first EAGLE II FC1 prime contract win, as well as the company’s emerging technologies, development, design and testing programs. The expansion of his responsibilities as the company has grown will ensure continued leadership in Salient CRGT’s DHS and Law Enforcement markets.
“Tom brings more than 28 years of strong leadership and his dedication has been instrumental in expanding Salient CRGT’s position as an industry leader,” said Tom Ferrando, president of Salient CRGT. “His expertise and depth of knowledge is invaluable as we continue to develop our intelligence capabilities for long-term success in the marketplace.”
Howe has served in a number of leadership positions in the national security community, managing large-scale application development projects at The Boeing Corporation and mobility solutions at CalAmp (formerly Rubicon Technologies). He has a strong background in program and project management, software development, border and maritime security solutions, and mobility solutions.
“I am excited to welcome Tom into this new role as a dynamic part of our leadership team,” said Charlie Sowell, senior vice president for national security and cyber solutions. “He has provided exceptional leadership during his tenure. His commitment to excellence and dedication to customer satisfaction reflect Salient CRGT’s core values.”
