President Obama and his national security team, including Deputy Director of National Intelligence for Intelligence Integration Robert Cardillo, on the left in photo above, view Maker Faire exhibits on the White House lawn prior to the President’s daily brief from the Intelligence Community.

In his role at ODNI, DDII Cardillo has served as Director of National Intelligence James Clapper’s principal designee for delivering the President’s Daily Brief, or “PDB.”

Cardillo was recently named the next director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.

The IC has delivered a daily briefing to the President of the United States for nearly 70 years. President Harry Truman was the first to request a regular daily summary from the Intelligence Community.

President Obama currently receives his PDB six days a week via a tablet computer.
