Xcelerate Solutions expands Northern Virginia HQ

On October 30, Xcelerate Solutions, a defense and national security company providing integrated solutions in enterprise vetting and analysis, critical infrastructure protection, cybersecurity, and digital solutions, is expanding its headquarters in Tysons. With more than 1,400 employees, Xcelerate employs more than 350 people in Fairfax County and expects to grow its workforce significantly over the next year. With the current expansion, Xcelerate more than doubles its footprint in Tysons from 7,759 square feet to 23,073.

“As someone who grew up in Fairfax County, I’m especially proud to see Xcelerate continue to grow and invest in this community. Fairfax has long been a hub for innovation and national security talent, and expanding our headquarters in Tysons allows us to deepen our roots, create more high-quality jobs, and strengthen our mission to protect and serve our nation,” said Mark Drever, CEO Xcelerate Solutions.

Founded on September 11, 2009, in Tysons, Xcelerate is a trusted partner to Transportation Security Administration, Federal Law Enforcement, the Department of War, and Intelligence Community agencies responsible for the security and safety of the United States. Since becoming a McNally Capital platform company in January 2023, Xcelerate has made three acquisitions: VMD (February 2024); General Dynamics Information Technology’s Background Investigation Assets (September 2024); and clearAvenue (October 2025).

“We are proud that Xcelerate Solutions is expanding its headquarters footprint in Tysons and investing in the next chapter of its growth right here in Fairfax County,” said Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman Jeffrey C. McKay. “This expansion represents the future of defense, security and technology innovation in our region and reflects Fairfax County’s steadfast commitment to mission-driven industries that safeguard our nation and strengthen our economy.”
