US Army C5ISR Center to host CJSIL open house replay

On June 17, the U.S. Army announced that it will hold a U.S. Army C5ISR Center Combined Joint Systems Integration Laboratory (CJSIL) Virtual Open House replay on July 14.

The CJSIL Virtual Open House was originally held on May 5, 2022.  This “Save the Date” is for the purpose of announcing the CJSIL Virtual Open House REPLAY during which the original CJSIL VOH Recording will be played.  Refer to the Additional Details below for REPLAY Registration and Security Clearance instructions.

ORIGINAL DETAILS:

The DEVCOM Combined Joint Systems Integration Laboratory (CJSIL) is an important connection point at the nexus of Army and Joint Service experimentation, enabling greater collaboration for better solutions that will allow tactical dominance for our Warfighters during multi-domain operations (MDO). The CJSIL organizationally falls under the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM); Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center and is located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.  The CJSIL serves as the network hub in support of the C5ISR Center’s Live/Virtual/Constructive experimentation environments.  The primary function of the CJSIL is Lab Based Risk Reduction for Science & Technology (S&T), C5ISR System Integration, and emerging industry and academia technologies.  Each lab experimentation environment provides transport, access to remotely-connected Army and Joint network nodes, at multiple classification levels for both event and on-demand purposes.

Industry often hears about the CJSIL via media, senior leader comments, and other means, and we receive many inquiries from industry about how to get involved and connect. The purpose of the virtual open house is to provide a way to address these inquiries in an efficient manner without the burden of individual tours and on-site engagements. This open house will provide an overview of what the CJSIL is, its current capabilities, and our planned future capability roadmap for the lab infrastructure. We will also cover the mechanisms for partnership including (1) potential to help us refine the capability roadmap based on industry technology offerings, (2) potential for Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADA) efforts that could leverage the CJSIL, and (3) potential for Test Service Agreements (TSA) that could provide industry with access to lab capabilities on a reimbursable basis. We will specifically not be discussing details about the CJSIL’s role in PC22 or any PC22-related technologies or use cases.

The CJSIL was stood up at the beginning of Fiscal Year 2021 with its primary mission in direct support of risk reduction for Army Future Command’s Project Convergence.  The lab continues to build upon this foundational mission with its stakeholders including Science & Technology (S&T) developers, DEVCOM Enterprise Experimentation, Army Cross Functional Teams, and Joint and multi-national partners,

The goal of this CJSIL Virtual Open House (Replay) is to inform industry on the mission of the CJSIL, overview existing capabilities within the laboratory, and discuss new capabilities the CJSIL is exploring for the laboratory.  Additionally, the event will overview how technologies are incorporated into experimentation performed at the CJSIL, including how and with whom vendors can engage/propose technologies for experimentation.
