US Air Force seeks C2I info sharing capabilities
On February 18, the U.S. Air Force posted a request for information (RFI) for Mission Partner Command and Control (C2) and Intelligence Information Sharing Capabilities. Responses are due by 3:00 p.m. Eastern on March 6.
This RFI is issued for the purpose of communicating the Mission Partner Environment (MPE) requirements to industry. SAF/CDM intends to use information gathered from these interactions to gain an awareness of capabilities, determine interested parties, and to support formulation of an acquisition strategy. Early industry involvement in creating a properly scaled enterprise solution is critical to the success of this contemplated acquisition, with the goal of providing SAF/CDM and its customers with superior and cost-effective technical service support.
The Mission Partner Capabilities Office (MPCO) executes the Secretary of the Air Force’s responsibilities as Executive Agent for the MPE. The MPE provides enterprise level, worldwide interoperable C2I information sharing capabilities with Mission Partners (e.g. federal departments and agencies; State, local, and tribal governments and agencies; non-governmental organizations; private sector organizations; Allies, coalition members, host nations, and other nations; and multinational treaty organizations) to share strategic, operational, and tactical information with all participants through all phases of military operations.
