On August 6, Allyon announced the promotion of Tony Barrett to president and chief strategy officer. In his new role, Barrett will lead Allyon’s daily operations with a sharp focus on scaling the company’s presence across the Department of Defense, federal civilian agencies, and the Intelligence Community. Barrett will report directly to CEO and Chairwoman Rebekah Barr, who will continue in her role.
Barrett brings a deep background in federal contracting, national security, and strategic growth to Allyon, which he joined earlier this year as VP of federal markets. Before joining Allyon, he served as the president and general manager of federal markets at BigBear.ai, where he led key growth initiatives supporting the U.S. Air Force and Department of Homeland Security. Prior to that, he played a pivotal role at PCI, where he helped quadruple revenue and headcount in under three years while providing strategic leadership on M&A integration, change management, and public company readiness. PCI was later acquired and integrated into BigBear.ai through a series of transactions.
“Tony is exactly the kind of leader Allyon needs as we grow,” said Barr. “He brings the right mix of vision, discipline, and heart to help us move forward while staying true to our values. Tony knows how to connect strategy to mission and how to bring people together to make it happen. I’m excited to work alongside him as we build what’s next for Allyon.”
A retired Marine Corps Intelligence Officer, Barrett brings over 30 years of experience across military and private sector leadership. Throughout his career, he has applied the principles of service, adaptability, and data-driven decision-making to scale teams, capture new business, and strengthen mission support for customers across the Defense and Intelligence communities, the company said.
“Allyon is a company with incredible heart and a real commitment to its people and customers,” said Barrett. “I’m truly honored to step into this new role and help lead the next chapter of our growth. Together, we’ll build on the strong foundation that’s already in place and continue delivering reliable, forward-thinking solutions that support the missions that matter most.”
