Threat agency wants help with Google search appliance and Cogito Intelligence API

Cogito Intelligence APIThe Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) intends to award a firm-fixed price contract to a vendor that can delivery two Google Search Appliances with Expert System’s Cogito Intelligence API, which can help the agency organize its data sources.

DTRA requires the tool to capture, index, categorize, correlate, link, integrate and unify many different sources of data, explains a solicitation it posted on August 29.

“Google Search Appliance with Cogito Intelligence API provides a capability for rapid data analysis and information searching by indexing all content to provide a broader and analytical view of the content through several graphic dashboards that help with the critical decision making for planning, budgeting, deploying solutions to world events,” says the document. “This data intelligence and analysis tool creates an archive of lessons learned solutions and scenarios to generate roadmaps to future world disasters, crisis and events and educates DTRA personnel on smarter and better decision making.”

The work required will be performed at DTRA headquarters, which is located at Fort Belvoir, VA. The period of performance will be two years, says the notice.
