Summit 7 and Carahsoft partner

On November 12, Summit 7, a provider of cybersecurity and compliance solutions for the Defense Industrial Base (DIB), announced a partnership with Carahsoft Technology Corp. Under the agreement, Carahsoft will serve as a referral partner to Summit 7, expanding Summit 7’s business within the federal marketplace to empower defense contractors with the tools and knowledge needed to achieve Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) compliance.

“Our partnership with Carahsoft is an excellent fit for both parties. Carahsoft’s vast network of government customers will now be able to take advantage of Summit 7’s expertise in CMMC compliance, implementation, managed IT and managed security,” said Darron Makrokanis, chief revenue officer at Summit 7. “Our proven approach has assisted hundreds of contractors in achieving compliance and advancing their cybersecurity defenses. We look forward to helping our joint customers enhance security solutions, achieve CMMC certification and ultimately win more contracts in the competitive defense space.”

The partnership will provide Carahsoft’s large network of government customers and resellers with access to Summit 7’s expertise in cybersecurity, compliance and advanced cloud solutions. This will enable organizations to confidently navigate the complexities of CMMC compliance and strengthen their cybersecurity posture.

Summit 7 delivers proficiency in federal and defense compliance requirements, including services that span across Azure Government, Microsoft 365 and unique cleared solutions such as Azure Secret. Summit 7 is also the only Azure Expert managed service provider solely focused on the DIB.

These advanced offerings, along with Summit 7’s 24/7 support designed to secure sensitive information and meet government requirements, will position Carahsoft’s customers to secure more contracts by being fully prepared to meet the growing security regulations within the defense sector.

“We are thrilled to announce our strategic partnership with Summit 7,” said Jenna Hafey, director of Microsoft sales at Carahsoft. “Collaborating with Summit 7 is a strategic move for both parties as our Defense Industrial Base clients will benefit from Summit 7’s expertise in CMMC compliance. Working together with our reseller partners to help our mutual customers achieve compliance will foster a more secure and reliable public space in the DIB and in government.”

As the United States faces an evolving Cyber War, according to Summit 7, this partnership signifies a shared commitment between Summit 7 and Carahsoft to enhance the cybersecurity resilience of the DIB and ensure government compliance with advanced defensive cybersecurity standards.
