SPAWAR posts sources sought, Industry Day notice for modular optical communications payloads
On June 28, the U.S. Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command posted a sources sought notice for PMW 770 Modular Optical Communications (OCOMMS) Payloads (Solicitation Number: N00039_SNOTE_000D21F2).
The Program Executive Office – Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (PEO C4I), Undersea Integration Program Office (PMW 770), is seeking information from industry for the design of full duplex optical communications payloads to communicate between an aircraft and undersea systems or between two undersea systems. PEO C4I may use this information to help influence future product investments and to support the Department of Navy’s investment policy.
The Submarine Integration Program Office (PMW-770), on behalf of the Program Executive Office Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) will host an Industry Day on 27 July 2016 for interested companies to exchange information with the Government regarding the joint US/UK Optical Communications (OCOMMS) Project Arrangement (PA) program. The briefing will be at MITRE Corporation 2280 Historic Decatur Rd. Ste. 100 San Diego, CA 92106.
