SDVOSB and HUBZone businesses invited to brief CECOM on their C4ISR capabilities

Army 112On July 1, the U.S. Army posted the following notice about an upcoming outreach event for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and SBA Certified Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) firms.

The Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP) will host an outreach event for the purpose of acquiring vendor interest, the capabilities of Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and SBA Certified Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) firms. A total of 12 (twelve) companies will brief their capabilities to (CECOM)/ Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) the core customers. Other companies that attend the event will have the opportunity to network with other small businesses to discuss teaming arrangements and partnerships. There will be government personnel at the event to provide information on small business initiatives, and how to improve your footprint in the CECOM/C4ISR community.

The outreach event will be held at the Mallette Training Facility, building 6008 in Room 5, located at, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005. Scheduled for 19 July 2016 from 8:00AM to 12:00PM. RSVPs for this event are due NO LATER THAN 12:00 PM on 11 July 2016.

CECOM OSBP in collaboration with the Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), on behalf of the CECOM Commanding General, will be conducting market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. The sources sought is only open to SDVOSB and HUBZone small business concerns. The Outreach Panel will be comprised of members throughout the contracting, program manager, and division directorate communities. This is for the attendees to brief their capabilities only.” All questions will be asked by the panel members only. (After the company has completed the Capabilities Brief.) Government officials will be given time to discuss upcoming requirements at the end of the briefings. The Outreach sessions will not be evaluated under any circumstances. Furthermore, the Outreach sessions will not provide any advantage or disadvantage to the participants.
