Scott Howell joins SIXGEN’s board

In a move underscoring its leadership in the national security sector, SIXGEN announced on June 18 the appointment of Lieutenant General (Ret.) Scott Howell, former commander of Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), to its board of directors.

As the digital battlespace grows more contested, this appointment supports SIXGEN’s ongoing efforts to enhance the nation’s security apparatus and collaborate with the U.S. defense and intelligence communities. In his new role, Lieutenant General Howell will lend his extensive experience to further SIXGEN’s impactful mission.

“SIXGEN is thrilled to welcome Lieutenant General Scott Howell, a decorated and distinguished leader, to our board of directors,” said Jack Wilmer, CEO of SIXGEN. “His wealth of experience will translate next-generation cyber-EW solutions into concrete mission outcomes, closing critical gaps and countering emerging threats across the defense ecosystem. Attracting him to our board underscores SIXGEN’s stature as a trusted national-security partner.”

“It is an honor to join SIXGEN, a mission-driven cybersecurity company that is leading the way in supporting our Armed Forces and critical infrastructure. I look forward to continuing to serve in this new role, supporting our broader national security apparatus and its technology partners,” said Lieutenant General Howell.

Prior to assuming command at JSOC, where he led military operations across multiple theaters, Lieutenant General Howell served as the U.S. Special Operations Command vice commander in Washington, D.C., where he planned, coordinated and executed USSOCOM initiatives with the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Staff, military services, and other government agencies. As a member of the SIXGEN board of directors, he will offer keen insights into national security operations at the highest levels of the Department of Defense. His leadership will strengthen SIXGEN’s abilities to incorporate and adapt to advanced technologies in the cyber domain.
