SAIC names Sanjay Sardar as service line director of data science

SAIC 112Science Applications International Corp. announced on October 8 that it has appointed Sanjay Sardar as a vice president and service line director for Data Science. In this role, Sardar will be responsible for collaborating across the company to develop the company’s data science strategy, communicate its capabilities, and foster the career development of its data science technical talent, He will be based out of SAIC’s McLean, VA office.

“Sanjay brings a wealth of experience in using data to solve tough problems coupled with deep insight into how US Government organizations can benefit from data science,” said Charles Onstott, vice president of Cyber, Cloud and Data Science.

Prior to joining SAIC, Sardar served as chief information officer for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, where he was responsible for its strategic visioning, tactical leadership and operational management for all information technology. From 2002 to 2008, Sardar worked for General Dynamics as a senior program director. During his career, Sardar has also held managerial positions with DDLabs, Inc., Oracle Corp., and Platinum Technologies, Inc.

Sardar earned a Master of Business Administration degree from George Washington University, a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Virginia, and is currently working toward completing further executive education from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
