Robert Work joins MITRE’s Visiting Fellows Program

The MITRE Corporation of McLea, VA announced on October 22 former Deputy Secretary of Defense Robert Work has joined its Visiting Fellows Program. The Visiting Fellows Program is comprised of nationally recognized leaders in their respective fields who work with MITRE experts to advise on topics of critical national importance.

Work is president of a strategic consultancy where he advises clients on national security affairs, defense strategy and programs, military and dual-use technologies, and the future of warfare. From 2014 to 2017, he served as 32nd Deputy Secretary of Defense and previously served as the President and CEO of the Center for a New American Security and as the Under Secretary of the Navy.

“We look forward to working with Bob to tackle the complex problems facing our nation,” said Bill LaPlante, MITRE senior vice president, national security sector. “He brings a vast knowledge and decades of experience to assist MITRE’s national security sector as it partners with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), intelligence, and cybersecurity communities.”
