On September 4, Rivet executed a $195M agreement as prime for Soldier Borne Mission Command (SBMC) — a next-generation capability for the U.S. Army that fuses data from soldiers, sensors, and mission systems into one clear operational picture, day or night.
Rivet will help the Army field SBMC to the infantry through rigorous iteration with soldiers, ensuring an adaptable and extensible platform for lethality and overmatch against evolving threats.
“We’re grateful for the Army’s confidence and are determined to deliver the most lethal capability to soldiers at speed and budget,” said Dave Marra, Rivet CEO.
SBMC is the U.S. Army’s next-generation situational awareness and mission command platform for dismounted units, company-level and below. It fuses data from soldiers, sensors, and mission systems into one clear operational picture. The system is tuned for the Army’s newest modular sensor technologies while staying fully compatible with the Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) architecture. Built for the unpredictable, SBMC is designed to operate in low-light, heavy-dust, and degraded-communications environments, where clarity and speed matter most.
