RFP for NGA’s ITEMS data center services solicitation is days away

On December 23, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) posted the following notice about the upcoming release of solicitation number HM0476-16-R-0004 for Information Technology Enterprise Managed Services (ITEMS) – Data Center Services (DCS).

The Office of Contract Services – Information Technology Infrastructure & Data Storage Division (OCSI) intends to competitively award a contract under the Information Technology Enterprise Managed Services (ITEMS) Program for Data Center Services (DCS) located at various NGA and Government facilities. The solicitation is for full and open competition. NAICS Code: 541513. ITEMS DCS includes the NGA Data Centers as well as third party cloud environments.

This requirement encompasses: 1) Storage and compute services for classified and unclassified domains; 2) Local Area Networks (LAN) and services at various NGA data center locations; 3) Support of data and applications that are NGA datacenter-based and resident in intelligence community cloud environments across all domains; and 4) NGA entity migration and Platform as a Service (PaaS) management support within the intelligence community cloud environments. The Government estimates award in July 2016.

RELEASE of the solicitation, HM0476-16-R-0004, is scheduled for the second week of January 2016. Inquiries about the solicitation will not be responded to until the solicitation has been released.
