Raft promotes two new executives
On October 9, Raft, a defense technology firm headquartered in McLean, VA, announced the promotions of Mark Procaccini to chief operating officer (COO) and Danielle McCoy to chief people officer (CPO).
Procaccini joined Raft in April as senior vice president of operations, while McCoy – who has been with the company since November 2022 – was until recently Raft’s senior director of people. The establishment of the COO and CPO roles within Raft’s leadership team marks a pivotal moment in the company’s evolution, highlighting its rapid growth and commitment to strategic innovation and scaling operations.
“Raft is unlike any other govtech company in the Beltway,” said Procaccini, who previously served in leadership roles at Accenture and Novetta. “I’m extremely proud to work for an organization that is truly injecting innovation and fresh perspective into the business of government contracting.”
Raft specializes in data modernization, artificial intelligence and machine learning integration, and software solutions for the tactical edge. As a provider of highly technical services, Raft has intentionally cultivated a workplace culture designed to attract top-tech professionals.
“At Raft, we proudly operate as a remote-first organization, empowering our team with the freedom to work in a casual and supportive environment. Our Rafters embrace a culture where wearing Raft t-shirts is the norm and enjoying our ‘take-as-you-need’ vacation policy is a favorite benefit,” said McCoy, who has been integral to developing Raft’s workplace culture. “We challenge every team member to fully engage with our mission and live our core values daily. This commitment not only fuels our success but also drives us to achieve extraordinary results together.”
