QinetiQ US earns CMMC Level 2

On July 10, QinetiQ US announced that it has earned Level 2 certification under the Department of Defense’s Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) program with zero findings. This advanced certification positions QinetiQ US among early achievers in a select group of companies that successfully demonstrated compliance with the DoD’s enhanced cybersecurity standards for protecting Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).

The CMMC Level 2 certification validates QinetiQ US’s implementation of 110 security controls required for handling CUI on defense contracts. The framework ensures defense contractors maintain robust cybersecurity practices to protect sensitive government data from cyber threats.

“This certification demonstrates our unwavering commitment to protecting the critical information that enables our customers’ most important missions,” said Joe Midyette, QinetiQ US Chief Information Security Officer. “Our customers can trust that QinetiQ US has the cybersecurity maturity and operational excellence necessary to safeguard their sensitive data while delivering the innovative solutions they depend on for mission success.”

QinetiQ US’s achievement with zero findings highlights the company’s robust security governance, risk management and cybersecurity maturity. The certification ensures QinetiQ US’s continued eligibility for DoD contracts involving CUI and reinforces the company’s ability to protect sensitive information across its services and solutions for defense and national security missions.
