QinetiQ secures C5ISR Center Research & Technology Integration Directorate contract
On April 26, QinetiQ announced the award of a $41 million contract to support the C5ISR Center’s Research & Technology Integration (RTI) Directorate. This contract underscores QinetiQ’s commitment to enhancing capabilities for detecting, marking, clearing, and neutralizing threats, ultimately maximizing soldier lethality and survivability.
Under this new contract, QinetiQ will continue to leverage its expertise in rapidly developing, demonstrating, and fielding advanced threat detection technologies. These technologies will be deployed in both mounted and dismounted applications to improve situational awareness by providing actionable information to soldiers on the ground.
Joe Boeckx, chief growth officer at QinetiQ, expressed his pride in the company’s ongoing partnership with the RTI Directorate, stating, “This contract award represents a continued commitment from QinetiQ to deliver vital technology solutions to the warfighter.” He emphasized the significance of the relationship between RTI and QinetiQ’s Technical Solutions and Services (TSS) Division, led by Vice-President Billie Jo Boersma.
QinetiQ’s scope of work under this contract includes software engineering, sensor development and optimization, documentation, prototype hardware development, sensor data collections, data processing, development of detection algorithms, data analysis, optimization of actionable information via visualization and threat cueing, detection performance assessments, logistics support, technical support, technology development, and new equipment training.
