On June 25, Precise Systems announced the appointment of Tom Viehe as executive vice president of business development. In this strategic leadership role, Viehe will oversee the development of enterprise-wide growth processes and advance initiatives that support the firm’s continued expansion across the Navy surface, subsurface, and training communities.
With more than a decade of business development leaderships experience, Viehe has built and led high-performing teams, developed diversified pipelines across key defense customers, and implemented scalable business development processes that improve win rates and operational efficiency. His experience spans Army, Navy, Air Force, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), NATO, and international partners, with a strong focus on advanced capabilities including digital engineering, modeling and simulation, and systems integration, the company said.
“Tom has the rare ability to bring people together around what matters most: understanding customers, solving real problems, and helping teams do their best work,” said Matthew Orsino, chief growth officer. “He brings a disciplined, results-driven approach to growth that aligns directly with how we are scaling Precise Systems. He will help drive enterprise-wide excellence as we tackle some of our nation’s most pressing challenges and deliver mission impact for the warfighter.”
Viehe most recently served as vice president of business development at Valkyrie Enterprises, where he led top-line and bottom-line growth, diversified the company’s customer base and offerings, and built the business development organization and processes from the ground up. Prior to Valkyrie Enterprises, Viehe held senior business development and capture leadership roles at Systems Engineering Group (SEG), T-Solutions, and IDS International. Across these roles, he consistently delivered strong results, including leading major prime contract wins, improving win rates, developing new growth personnel, and securing significant sole-source and competitive awards.
