NGA wants assistance in pursuing ‘Foundation Data Change Detection’
The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) issued a sources sought document on June 30 that seeks information from vendors who could support the acquisition of what is called “Foundation Data Change Detection.” In essence, Foundation Data Change Detection is the recognition of persistent changes on the earth’s surface (such as the construction of a new parking lot) rather than transient changes (such as the arrival and departure each day of automobiles at a parking lot.)
“The detection of these persistent changes shall support the maintenance of foundation data warehouses that are ready and current to support NSG’s mission requirements,” says the NGA’s document.
Interested parties have until July 10 to submit their information to the Agency.
