NGA seeks vendors capable of providing a data science program of study
On March 11, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency posted a request for information for vendor capabilities for provide a program of study in the data sciences. The deadline for RFI responses is Monday, March 21, 2016 at 3:00PM, EST.
The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), in support of the National Geospatial-Intelligence College, is seeking information in the form of a capability statement on the level of interest, capabilities and qualifications of academia, small and large businesses to provide a Program of Study in the Data Sciences (PSDS). The details pertaining to this requirement and the request for information (RFI) have been posted to the Classified ARC, which is only accessible to those with a Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) clearance.
The vision of the Learning Outreach program is to provide innovative and impactful introductory to advanced-level data science training to the NGA and IC workforce through partnerships with academia and industry. Our goal is to develop workforce competencies in the following areas.

● Programming/Development LanguagesThe Contractor shall propose a data science training program, utilizing commercial training courses, with learning objectives that align to development of these competencies at a minimum. The program shall include linked academic courses in data science topics, including courses in the areas of statistics, programming, and visualization. The selected Contractor shall deliver course sessions and course maintenance that assist NGA and the IC in achieving its vision.
