NGA releases Astrea RFP

On May 8, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency released the Astrea Request for Proposal (RFP). Questions are due by 2:00 p.m. Eastern on May 22, and proposals are due by 2:00 p.m. Eastern on June 26, according to SAM.gov.

Astrea’s focus is on the measurement of surface optical properties and bulk properties of materials, the development of models that use the measurements to create signatures of interest, and the curation of material databases created by other organizations not software development, maintenance of existing software or exploitation.

The Astrea RFP was released on the Acquisition Center of Excellence, CLASSIFIED Acquisition Research Center, 8 May 2026. Questions shall be submitted IAW the RFP instructions, to Contracting POCs Joseph Cloft and Kelvin Chau no later than 1400 ET on 22 May 2026.
